Unpacking

Here is how it comes. Brown manila color carton box… nice, clean, firm.
The packaging does not look as attractive as the retail packaging of other brands, but more like OEM/wholesale:

Let us see what is inside the box:

Just lamp and driver. Lamp surface is not covered by any protection film (not good as it could get dirty while being installed).
Driver has micro-switch: 3000K/4000K/5000K:

And lamp connects to the driver with 3-pin M-F connector (there is a key so you cannot connect it wrong):

And there is an O-Ring that seals connection and helps fighting moisture etc.

Let us disassemble it and see what is inside.

Inside the lamp

First – ensure the light is off – not connected to power supply network. Now remove the top cover by unscrewing 6 screws with regular #2 screwdriver.

The top cover is made of steel, thick enough not to flex. What is under top cover?

It’s a black foam rubber. About 1/16″ or less thick. I believe it serves two reasons: 1) reduce back glare and 2) tighten up the other parts (see below) so no rattling due to gaps left. Wires are let in I’d say safe:

Let’s talk it’s purpose later. What is under white round sheet of paper? It’s transparent round plastic disc:

And when we remove this clear plate we’ll see another white plastic disc – this time more mate, less transparent:

And only the can left:

So, only the lamp body remains and it is clearly visible that the strip of LEDs is adjacent to the inner diameter of the lamp body:

Curious mind can notice – there are two types of LEDs – A and B. Why? Let’s talk 3CCT.

Correlated Color Temperature (CCT)

Color temperature defines the color appearance of a white LED. CCT is defined in Kelvin degrees. So a warm (more like yellow) light is around 2700K-3500K, neutral white at around 4000K, and cool white (also called daylight white) at 5000K or more.

So “3CCT lamp” means you can switch the CCT of the lamp from 3 different options (usually 3000K, 4000K, 5000K).

Now let us return to the lamp we are taking apart. Remember there are two types of diodes, but how did they acheve 3CCT? It turned out LED diodes type A are responsible for the warm light (3000K), LED diodes type B emit cool light (5000) and (that’s the trick!): lamp gives 4000K neutral light when both types of LED are on:

How the LED lamp shines

The surface of transparent plastic disk is kind of grainy rough pebbled hummered finish on one side and honeycomb cellular finish on other side:

The surface of half-mate half-transparent plastic disk is more like satin linen matte sandstone ( Dull? SPI class D ?):

So how it all works together? LED diodes are positioned right on the clear plastic disc level. Light emitted by LEDs is distributed evenly inside the clear disc due to it’s transparent core interior and rough surface. White sheet of paper on top reflects light back to down. Mate disk on the bottom helps more even light distribution and makes it look nicer. Dark foam rubber helps the sanwich sit tight and reduce back glare.

Soldering

Quality of soldering is not perfect, but acceptable:

At least all connections are strong and solid, no week soldering found:

Overall Quality Assessment

Since I have nothing so far to compare, I’ll rate this Yuurta Light according to my understanding based on previous experience.
I’ll use scale from 1 to 10 where 1 is a worst possible quality and 10 is an exceptionally high quality aka “perfect”. So 8-9 would be “very good”, 6-7 “good”, 5 “averege”, 3-4 “acceptable”, 2 “not acceptable” aka “bad”, and 1 is “awful”:
